UNPRECEDENTED USER FLEXIBILITY & EASE of USE
The External Sensor option opens a whole new aspect of user flexibility. This option was developed for users who desired a smaller, lighter device.
Weighs only 3 grams !
The tilt sensor electronics that sense tilting were moved from inside the LaZee Mouse unit, to the end of an attached wire. This "External Sensor" is now the only item that needs to be worn/activated, while the unit itself can be rested anywhere. This unit operates as a standard LaZee Mouse, while the tiny sensor is much smaller, lighter and easier to manipulate.

As the exciting as the possibilities are for an external sensor, the Dual-Sensor is double exciting! When the tilting of one sensor in two directions is not a viable approach, consider a dual-sensor configuration. The dual-sensor provides two separate sensors; each sensor controls a single axis of cursor movement, each completely independent of the other.
Example of dual-sensor use Sensor 1 on a toe controls the up/down movements Sensor 2 on a shoulder does left/right movements
To greatly enhance LaZee Mouse usability, Customer Designated features can make the difference.
Custom Design = Customer Designated features The use of sensors greatly increases the adaptable to the users needs. To further enhance the capability of the External Sensor and the Dual-Sensor, LaZee Mouse units can be set at the factory to provide different sensitivities for each axis of cursor movement! The left/right can be set to require a smaller or larger range of movement, while the up/down sensor is set differently. Furthermore even the left vs. right movements on a system can be set differently from each other. Custom Design need not be cost prohibitive. Most customer designated features can be implemented without additional costs. Please contact us with your requirements.
Example of Dual-Sensor with Customer Designated features: Position a sensor on each shoulder. Shrugging of right shoulder moves cursor up, while dropping of right shoulder moves cursor down. Left shoulder controls the left/right direction.
- Upward shrugging movements usually offer a larger range of motion and may be easier than movements of dropping the shoulder. To help accommodate this: it is possible to set the LaZee Mouse at the factory to have increased sensitivity for one-half of the sensor’s travel matching the downward movement.
- For example the sensitivity of downward dropping of the shoulder could be set to three* times that of the upward shrugging. This would result in actual tilting angles in each direction differing, although the effort needed for each would be more consistent.
- There are usually no charges for setting sensor gains to different values.
While the following example may not match what you need, rather, focus on the functionality and capabilities of the product and how they might apply to your situation.
Example of External Sensor(s) with other equipment: Utilize a joystick or other input device to operate in only one axis, left/right for instance, while controlling the up/down movements utilizing a LaZee Mouse with an external sensor. (We can assist you with modification if necessary.)
- Another adaptation of this configuration might be to utilize a dual-sensor approach: one sensor for up movements and a second for down movements.
