- Q - Is there anything that can be done to prevent the headset from sliding around?
A - Yes, several sublte things can be addressed:
- Make sure the cable is not producing pressure.
- The tightness of the headset can be easily adjusted, by just bending the two sides. Bending together will tighten the fit on the user, while pulling apart will loosen the fit.
- Attaching cloth, soft Velcro or other material to the bottom the headset, the surface between the head & headset, can sometimes help.
- Not all headsets (or heads!) are the same, sometimes a different brand might fit better. Our units will work with most any on the market. If you find one that works better, we can usually arrange to modify the microphone cord length if desired.
- Consider the possibility of an alternate mounting method such as hat, headband, etc
- Q - I’m having trouble holding the cursor in the center of the screen to set the home position.
A - Place the unit on the user, have the user position them self in a comfortable “home” position while ignoring where the cursor is or what it is doing. Press the “home” button. The cursor can now be moved as desired. Moving in a circular pattern will help find cursors lost over the edge.
- Q - Is there a lighter alternative than the headset that comes with system?
A - Yes, There are many headsets on the market both with and without microphones. It’s not possible for us to carry all of them, so we selected a durable model that can withstand lots of abuse, although not the smallest & lightest. Depending upon the user there are different brands that may produce a good fit with a lighter package. Our units will work with most any on the market. If you find one that works better, we can usually arrange to modify the microphone cord length if desired.
- Q - Why is your website so full of technical info about the products?
A - Several Reasons:
- We want to make our product info as easily available to you as possible. We want to provide all our info to you at whatever time YOU need it. We feel the most effective way to do so, is to place it on the web where you can do so. We are also available to answer your questions during business hours.
- We are proud of what are products can do. We are not ashamed to publicize how they work, and what they specifically do and not do. No smoke & mirrors here.
- By being open about our products operation, we hope to stimulate thought. Maybe the next great idea will trigger from one of our features. Improving the industry is what we are all about.
- Q - What needs to be connected or installed in order to use the LaZee Mouse with a MAC?
A - Nothing, just plug into a MAC.
- Q - Can I move the same LaZee Mouse back and forth between a MAC and a PC without having to change switch settings, use adapters, etc.. ?
A - YES, simply unplug from one system and plug into the other.
- Q - What’s with the name LaZee?
A - LaZee was created through a highly technical process called anagrams! The operation of our products is based around an electronic device that senses AZimuth and ELEvation. We put our board of directors together and came up with LaZee!!
- Q - Does the mouse need to be mounted “level” or close to it in order to operate properly?
A - NO, it can be mounted as much as 60 degrees away from level.
- Q - Does the unit need to remain in line of sight in order to operate?
A - NO, All necessary information passes thru the USB cable, therefore the unit can be located anywhere. Under the desktop on a foot, off to the side, etc...
