     The LaZee Mouse family provides the user an alternative method of computer access. The adaptive mouse products provide hands-free computer access for many individuals with disabilities, with conditions resulting from: arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, stroke, or other physical disabilities.

     While the concept of a “head-mouse” is not new, our approach and implementation are. We have chosen to develop a self contained, easy to operate, cost effective line of products.  These Assistive Technology mouse alternative devices can be operated virtually anywhere the user is able to use them, from the top of the head, to the foot, and anywhere in between.

Operation

     All of our computer input devices are recognized by the operating system as a  hardware devices. This provides a product which is platform independent, compatible with all hardware and software programs, and requires no computer processing resources that can degrade the performance of programs being ran.  All models have been tested to ensure AAC Device Compatibility.

     Connection and setup are quick and easy. Just plug in and go!   You’re up and running!! The portable self-contained design is ready to connect to a desktop or laptop & go where ever the laptop can. No software or drivers to install, no patches, no power cables, no batteries.

     Cursor movement is identical throughout the LaZee Mouse family, and is generated by tilting the unit. Tilt sensor circuitry is the same for all models. Cursor speed is fully proportional to the degree of tilt. We are able to easily modify operational parameters at the factory. This allows us to offer optional cursor movement characteristics to match the needs of the consumer.

     The three models in the LaZee Mouse family  share these same basic traits and characteristics. The difference between the three models is  the clicking functions, and the external “home” input jack available only on the CURSOR model.  All models can be used in conjunction with 3rd party click/dwell programs or other input devices.

Unique Features

     Clicking can be performed via microphone or switches.  All clicking is done real-time without any additional dwell or clicking software, no body or head gestures. Proprietary processes in the LaZee Mouse products interpret  inputs using a Morse Code style of detection, and produce left clicks, double left clicks, right clicks, left drag and right drag. The architecture allows us to provide options in the way the clicking is implemented, and allow the units to be tailored to the users individual requirements.
